From the Beginning
Think. Reason. Question. Experiment. These are just a few of the skills and qualities that children will develop at Trails of Wonder Preschool Centre. Since our founding, we’ve focused on supporting kids during all transitions throughout childhood.

3-5 YEAR OLD PRESCHOOL PROGRAM
Trails of Wonder Preschool is a Licensed Centre. This spacious and bright centre located in Promontory, Chilliwack, is equipped for 8 children per class with classes running on Mon/Weds/Fri or Tue/Thurs from 9am-1pm. Both classes can be a mix of 3-5 year olds. Trails of Wonder Preschool Centre is a play based centre in which we observe the children's interests and plan engaging activities to expand their play and knowledge. We have free play, art both free and structured, outside times which include backyard time, nature walks, and field trips to parks in the neighbourhood. We have a morning and afternoon circle time and morning snack and afternoon lunch snack. At Trails of Wonder Preschool we treat each child with respect and dignity, help build their confidence, and support social and emotional growth. Through our playful daily activities children will build their social and emotion skills, math skills, science, language, dramatic play and art skills as well as have opportunities for sensory play. IMAGINATIVE PLAY
In our Dramatic play center possibilities are endless. Children enjoy dressing up in their free play as well as for special occasions such as Chinese New Year in which we often take part in a Dragon Dance.
OUTDOOR PLAY
At Trails of Wonder Preschool we have a large yard for playing in daily as well as heading out on trail walks to visit nearby playgrounds and parks. With a flexible schedule, we have plenty of opportunities to get into nature and enjoy the fresh air! We spend a minimum of 1 hour a day outside and on those wonderfully favorable days, we have the option of setting up for an outdoor classroom experience and staying out as long as we please.
ART
Art happens everywhere at preschool! Whether it be a more structured craft indoors, or an outdoor experiment of chalk crushing! Your child will have many opportunities to explore and learn to use a variety of art materials, textures and color.
SENSORY ART AND SCIENCE
Children love to experience their environment through their 5 senses. Giving opportunities to see, touch, smell, hear, and sometimes even taste are so important to help children make sense of their world. At Trails of Wonder both indoors and outdoors we have many opportunities for Sensory activities such as painting, playdough, natural clay, water play, sensory bins, sand stations, and gardening.
